Windows VNC for big boys.
Welcome to a (small) collection of bits and pieces.
I've not put much up on here recently, as I had a change of employer a couple of months back, and I've been quite busy getting used to new policies/procedures and things.
Previously, all my old web sites have basically been centred around embarrasing pictures of my group of friends out and about, a message board script and the odd rant I've felt like putting on the front page. Nowadays, we have things like MySpace and FotoPic to take care of that sort of thing. I'll probably get around to putting all the old stuff back up again sometime, just on a different site.
It's been over a year since the Neotrantor site disappeared (nobody liked the way it looked), and over two years since the last StarFury site was abandoned (which was more popular because of its raw and simplistic look).
Anyhow, I digress. This site is divided up in to various sections. Firstly, there's the Windows section. In there you'll find various articles relating to all flavours of Windows, as well as associated things like Exchange, Active Directory and some third party packages like Altiris.
Then we have what's currently called the Linux/BSD section. I could call this the Unix section, but my days of working with commercial Unix systems like Solaris, AIX and IRIX appear to be long gone.
The next section is the networks section. You'll find some things in here which you might have placed elsewhere. For example, the DHCP article might have gone under Windows, since the server we're using for the mostpart is Windows 2003. As mentioned in the article, you can also use a variety of other OSes, and at the end of the day, DHCP is mostly concerned with running a network.
Finally, there's the other stuff section. Anything to do with other technologies like Satellite Navigation units, Sinclair Spectrums, bacon sandwiches or flux capacitors will be in this bit.
